So far, my groups’ creative process has been going well. Being that we all have the similar visions for how we want our project to look, it has been easy collective the images and footage. One big milestone that we have accomplished is getting the right amount of people that we wanted to interview. This worked out well because, though it was hard getting people to agree o be on camera, everyone we spoke with had great answers to each question. Another milestone we were able to overcome is obtaining some decent b-roll shots from our cellphones. At first it was difficult with trying to find proper lighting and having the sots come out the way we wanted, but for them most part, I am happy wit our results.
The digital tools learned in class have been a tremendous help in having my group’s creative process come to life. For one, understanding something as simple as how to hold the camera in order to fill the screen was helpful because we would start off shooting vertically and then what was taught would come to mind, so we’d end up flipping the camera the correct way. Another thing that has helped was learning how to use iMovie and the ways in which to add effects, such as transitions and better lighting to our videos to make it more appealing to watch. We will be adding background music to our video as well, which we learned how to do in class.
